Sebastian has been fever-free for 14 hours, and our pediatrician gave us permission to stick to our plan! She did say that his right ear is a touch pink, and she wouldn't even have mentioned it if he had just been having a normal check-up, but because of our situation, she gave us some ear drops and Amoxicillin tablets. Bonus!
With our extra time, we were able to scan and print some pictures of Xi Yao Yu, and put them in frames around the house. He may not even recognize himself, since the photos are nearly a year old, but Sebastian recognizes them, and I think it sends a good message to him, having the photos around more permanently.
We leave the house in 4 hours!

Jen,
Thanks for sharing your blog! I was looking at older posts and saw pictures of your new addition when you got PA. The little boy you are adopting - I remember seeing him on Adoption house and wondering if he was for our family. At the time we were still in the process of considering special needs children and just about to commit to an agency. I noted with some regret when I saw he had a family and knew that God had placed him with "his family". What a joy to see that you are on your way to pick him up. I am so happy for you all. We received our referral in Aug for a son and hope to travel in the spring. Enjoy your trip and I look forward to following along!

Well then - like I said before - hiccup over - nothing but fair winds and following seas from here on out!
Great joy - prayers to follow

Looking forward to seeing the killin clan on your return from asia. Pi is looking forward to having another friend.
To Xi Yao Yu,
Your world is about to get MUCH bigger. The change will be difficult for you for a little while, but in the end you are moving to where the grass is indeed greener... well the metaphoric grass is greener, literally the grass is much browner and interspersed with cacti. Anyway Pi is looking forward to meeting you and have safe travels with your new family.

so glad all is well! we will be thinking of you and waiting to welcome you home! Kristina
